Sereni7 is one of the brightest talents to emerge from the underground of the orchestral/liquid D&B space. He joins Outer Edge Audio on the back of his free download release with No Motivation Boys Of Summer 25

This release is a signifcant departure from his usual style, with Sereni7 (aka Jake) stepping outside of the box and really testing the limits of his production capabilites. From synth wave inspired, breakbeat cuts to his signature stirring, soul soothing sound, this EP is a real treat.

We caught up with Sereni7 to find out what makes him tick, what the future has in store and also steal some tracks from his playlist!

OE: For those that don’t know, who is Sereni7?
S7: My real name is Jake, I'm a father of 2 and an avid gamer. I'm basically a family man with a little time on the side to do what I enjoy and showcase it to the world.

OE: It’s fair to say this EP is a little bit of a departure from your usual style! What are the inspirations behind the tracks on this EP?
S7: I always want to try new styles but feel drum and bass fills up a lot of the production time I have. These were projects that I managed to squeeze in, months apart in some cases. I really enjoyed the learning curve, especially with the title track I Am Yours! 

OE: Can we expect more of the synth wave/breaks sound from you in the future?
S7: Most definitely, especially synth wave inspired drum and bass, I just feel there's a huge synergy there which I personally love listening to!

OE: Can't wait! Looking towards the end of the year and into 2026, what’s next for Sereni7?
S7: I'll be releasing an EP derived from a mix of high energy liquid and of course, synthwave / synthpop! You can also expect my debut release over on Detached Audio in the late winter too with various other projects scattered around including some sneaky bootlegs!
